Samina Found Guilty On Second Charge

Samina was found guilty of the second charge yesterday. Typically the media have not covered much of her trial. Only what the prosecution had to say, there was no media coverage when she was in the witness box for thirteen hours and explained everything to the jury. There was not much coverage when she was found not guilty. But now it’s all over the news, ‘The first woman to be convicted under the terrorism act’!

This is a big blow for the Muslim Ummah, our sister has been convicted on a charge which seems to be made just for Muslims! Because if you are a non-muslim in possession of the same thing, you won’t be charged. But if you are a muslim who is in possession of ANYTHING they find suspicious, then you will get locked up for it with a permanent bad record of  a terrorism conviction! Im sure if they raided every Muslim home they would charge everyone of us with something or another.

A prison is not the place for a sister. My dear brothers and sisters, we sit back and we watch the show silently. When are we going to wake up and realise that they will not stop locking up our brothers and SISTERS until we become like them!

“Never will the jews nor the christians be pleased with you, til you follow their religion. Say: ‘Verily, the guidance of Allah is the only guidance. And if you were to follow their desires after what you have received of knowledge then you would have against Allah neither any Protector nor any Helper’ “. 2:120

What words of comfort can we give to Samina and her mother? All I can say to you my dear sister is be patient and your reward is with Allah, truly He tests those that He loves and He is elevating your status in Jannah inshAllah. It is us that should be worried. What answer will we give to Allah? What have we done for her? What have we done to protect her? What words of comfort have we given her? And remember my dear brothers and sisters, Allah won’t change our situation until we change ourselves! When will we rid ourselves from this humiliation? What will it take to change us?
